Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee

Every Bags In Leather product is covered by our Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee for the lifetime of normal use. We believe that a well-made leather bag should outlast trends, outlast seasons, and become a companion you carry for decades.

If your bag develops a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use, we will repair or replace it — free of charge.

What's Covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing and material defects, including:

  • Stitching that comes undone or unravels
  • Hardware failures — zippers, buckles, clasps, rivets, or D-rings that break
  • Structural defects — straps, handles, or seams that separate
  • Leather defects — tears at seam points caused by faulty craftsmanship
  • Internal lining defects — rips or separation from the leather shell

What's Not Covered

We want to be upfront and transparent. Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear — surface scuffs, corner softening, or edge wear that comes with everyday use
  • Natural aging — patina development, color deepening, or subtle changes in texture (these are features of full-grain leather, not defects)
  • Accidental damage — cuts, punctures, burns, or crushing
  • Water damage — prolonged exposure to water, stains from liquids, or mold from improper storage
  • Improper care — damage from chemicals, household cleaners, or failure to condition the leather
  • Unauthorized modifications — alterations or repairs not performed by Bags In Leather
  • Misuse or overloading — using the bag beyond its intended purpose or exceeding weight limits
  • Loss or theft

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your bag qualifies for warranty coverage, getting help is simple:

Send an email to contact@bagsinleather.com with your order number (or approximate date of purchase), a clear photo of the issue, and a brief description of what happened.

Step 2

We Review

Our team will review your claim within 1–2 business days and let you know how we’ll resolve it.

Step 3

We Make It Right

Depending on the issue, we’ll repair the bag at no cost, send a replacement if repair isn’t possible, or issue store credit if the product is no longer available.

Repair Turnaround

Repairs are handled by the same artisans who crafted your bag. Please allow 2–4 weeks for warranty repairs, depending on the nature of the work. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

A Note on Full-Grain Leather

Full-grain leather is a living material. Over time, it develops a unique patina — a rich, warm tone that tells the story of how you’ve used it. This is not a defect; it’s one of the most valued qualities of premium leather.

Scratches, wrinkles, and natural markings are characteristics of genuine full-grain leather and are not covered by warranty. They’re signs that your bag is authentic and truly yours.
